Did you know: That almost half of all Indian children are so undernourished, that they are stunted in their growth?
Action Child Aid’s mission statement builds on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child1 with special
focus on ensuring children a safe childhood and adolescence where a child can be a child, protection from
discrimination, violence and abuse as well as equal and sufficient access to education and health services.
Further, we focus on ensuring children and their families the right to live without discrimination based on
gender, religion, social background or other; and that the children are given an opportunity to grow up and
become active members of society and that they are free to form their own opinions and express them
We have many volunteers, and our few employees, which are all part time, also volunteer apart from their contractual work.
Why do we care
Abuse, discrimination and a poor education is unfortunately daily life for millions of Indian children. We collaborate closely with local partners, children’s homes and schools on securing education to all children and create more equality, so that poor and vulnerable children and youth can create their own future. We also make sure that they get nutritious meals.
Furthermore we support vocational training for young vulnerable women and technical schools for young marginalized men as well as agricultural development and rehabilitation after natural disasters.
For 1 USD (6 DKK) a day, you can make a huge difference. For that amount we can give six children a nutritious meal for lunch.
All donations, whether small or large, are welcome – please send them to this bank account:
